The Human Performance Development RUN squad trained in The Dandenongs this Saturday morning, running from Ferny Creek through the Alfred Nicholas Memorial Gardens to Sassafras Creek Road, then to Perrins Creeks Road via the Sassafras Creek Track before ascending the steepest hill in the Dandenongs – Hacketts Road – to Olinda-Mondulk Road. From there we fartleked to Woolrich Road and down to RJ Hamer Arboretum to take in the view. We returned to Olinda-Mondulk Road up Chalet Rd, then took a right at The Georgian Road to complete a lap of The National Rhododendron Gardens before heading to Olinda. The juniors stopped there and enjoyed an ice cream while awaiting pickup while Mike and Tiffany continued on down Mount Dandenong Tourist Road and finally Sherbrooke Road to return to our origin at Ferny Creek carpark.
