When life gets busy you have to sneak in training anywhere you can…

Winter days are short, the weather often poor, and our lives hectic at the best of times. Making time to train is hard, and finding excuses is easy. Capitalising on fantastic weather by knocking off early, Human Performance Development coach Mike Rennie and fellow coach Gavin Burren went for a Friday evening training ride, mountain biking at Churchill National Park during sunset. The constant elevation changes at Churchill caused much pain, yet all the hills were worth the effort for the stunning views.

Anyone unfamiliar with Churchill National Park should visit. Churchill is a small but gorgeous National Park tucked in the corners of Rowville, Dandenong and Lysterfield in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The view is slightly marred by power lines running through the centre of the park but is very picturesque nonetheless.
