Congratulations to Human Performance Development athlete Helen Stanley on taking Silver in the Australian Masters Athletics 800m (Women 60-64) at the 2019 AMA Track and Field Championships!
Helen (63) held off fellow competitor Heather Farley in the final two-hundred metres to cross the line in 3:08.07, 2.9s ahead of her second-lap rival.
In Helen’s own words: “I usually focus on the long events and haven’t run many 800s in the last year or so, so it was a bit intimidating running this at Nationals. I’m very happy with the result and really enjoyed running with such a great bunch of women.”
